Francesca Escarraga is a writer and producer who utilizes the visual medium and the written word to empower the voiceless and produce meaningful stories that induce positive change in society. She has a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication from De La Salle University as well as Graduate Certificates in Screenwriting from New York Film Academy and Film and TV Development from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). As a freelance writer, she is responsible for crafting feature, opinion, and review pieces relevant to film, TV, travel, and pop culture for top global media and entertainment companies and independent clients from New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. She also interviews Hollywood A-List actors, directors, producers, and writers as well as works on events and projects with filmmakers and studio executives from NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA), Warner Bros., Disney, Fox, NBC, Netflix, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. As a professional screenwriter and script consultant, she specializes in writing original screenplays, providing development notes, script coverages, and designing creative solutions that transform stories into award-winning masterpieces. She has worked on award-winning international films and her screenplay 'Leo Child' placed as a semifinalist in the 2020 Scriptapalooza Screenwriting competition in Los Angeles. As a producer, she oversees all aspects of film production, securing funding, hiring and supervising cast and crew members, managing the budget, and developing an effective marketing and distribution strategy.
